Leadership & Wellbeing Facilitator

James is a former Royal Marines Commando Officer with over 20 years of leadership and wellbeing experience. In 2007 he was awarded the Military Cross for gallantry on operations, and as a result of his experiences, he is able to offer a wealth of lessons he has learnt. James describes leadership as a combination of learnt experiences and ‘borrowed’ ideas.

As a former officer in the Royal Marines, James knows that every person is unique. He travelled extensively and operated in some of the most demanding and challenging environments on earth and had the distinct privilege of commanding men and women on combat operations on numerous occasions. Sharing his inspiring story, you’ll learn what goes wrong both physiologically and mentally and how to take ownership of your own personal resilience.

Experience

James was an officer in the Royal Marines for 17 years. This has been the catalyst for most of his leadership work and is fortunate in that he can bring forward examples and experiences from a unique career.

James is an impressive and humble leader whose ability to get the best out of people will help you embed a more resilient mindset. We all have a breaking point. James is proactive, with a rock-solid moral compass. He knows what is right and will do it, irrespective how difficult that might be.

According to his Chief of Joint Force Operations, he was one of the most popular officers in the Marines, with exceptional leadership and an excellent sense of humour! His aim is to exceed your expectations by adding genuine value to your wellbeing.
